Time to replace a projector bulb

Re: Time to replace a projector bulb

I completed the bulb swap last night. The unit from Apex Lamps appeared nearly identical to the 7 year old factory lamp module. I installed the new module and the video projector fired right up. It appears to be much brighter than it was and will hopefully increase the lifespan of this projector install for a little while longer.

Apex Lamps offered pricing substantially lower than anywhere else that I could find. Assuming that we don't have any problems with this bulb, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

At what point does a ''bulb'' become a ''lamp''?

The lamps in my university's projector cost around $350 each - and there were 2 to replace.

Initially, I was quoted similar prices for the lamp that I needed. However, at Apex Lamps, I got the same lamp module for ~$135. It seems to be working well so far.
