I use the M32 for my Church programs and do record directly on the board but when I play back I notice that the recording skips. How can I resolve this?

Without knowing more details, I would start by trying another USB drive.
However, if you provide more context such as:
- how are you playing back the recording? Directly from the board, from a computer? If computer, what app?
- if you are playing back on a computer, is the sample rate (44.1 or 48) you recorded at in the M32 the same as what your computer is configured to play back at?
They are quite finicky about the USB stick you have put in. I have a few bigger ones and they're not reliable, but I use an SD card adaptor and the 32Gb ones seem mostly OK if they are the class 10 ones designed for video. USB drives seem to be very random quality. I'm guessing that you're certain that the problem is record and not the playback? If you load the USB drive into another device, that skips too? There's nothing you can do bar trying different storage media types.

I've used different capacity of USB drives, 64 & 32gb and they all skip. As for the play back devices, I've tried the board, 2 different laptops and I get the same results
Does the built in player skip on files recorded on something else? Its sounding more like a fault
Nope, only files recorded on the M32, yet when I record on the PC with Adobe, I don't get that problem
That's not very good, I expected the reverse, so the snag really is on internal recording. Just a thought - does it do it on 44.1 and 48 or does that not change anything?

Please note, you didn't specify if the sample rate was 44.1 or 48K. If you play back a 48K file on an audio output on computer that is configured for 44.1 (default for many) it will be glitchy. They need to match. Note that you can use some audio apps and DAW software to modify the sample rate from one to the other.

Thank you all for your interventions, as I stated earlier, I do not know much about 'Sample rate', I'm consulting with someone. This has been my first time experiencing this and also my first experience recording directly from a Digital board. Once again thank you all.
I agree with Jeff . Sample rates ( speed the data is recorded and played back )need to match whatever speed the recording was done in. It is easy to find this out but in my case I use a QSC Touchmic 16 and the default recording speed or sample rate is 48 . My DAW defaults to 44.1 sample rate so when I record a session to my external hard drive , and I use a SS 500Gig hard drive , and then go to upload the session to my DAW ( protools 11 ) I need to create a new session and change the sample value to 48 . If I fail to do that then the uploaded data will be corrupt in some way , usually slow and drawn out if from 48 to 44.1 or possible skipping if 44.1 to 48 . This is an important value to know if recording anything . your M32 manual should have that info in specs possibly , and whatever DAW you use should have a create new session feature that will allow you to change that parameter if needed . If you simply use a session you may have already set up for uploading recordings you may not be able to change the parameters , which is why I always use the create session function for all Hard drive Uploaded sessions . To be fair, hooking up the M32 to a MacBook or Windows equivalent is so simple and transparent that it would be simpler to record direct to the computer drive and edit there. On my M32 and X32's if the thing accept the card, recordings are all skip free. I'm wondering now if 'skip' is the right word? What exactly was the problem? When you say it skips, do you mean something is missing, but it replays continuously, as in a few seconds have gone, or does it give you silence for a few second. Is it repeatable or random?
