Hello everyone,

I have a pair of KEF IQ3 Speakers and lately one of them was damaged because of feedback.
I would like to try to repair it but I don't have much experience in the field so I was hoping to get some help from the people here.
Ideally I would be able to find the necessary spare parts and go to a local repair cafe where they could help me with the repair.
I made a short recording comparing the damaged speaker with the healthy one. You can listen to it here: https://on.soundcloud.com/vgbCtXLFLMWFheoE7. I can imagine that the problem is with the cone.

Thank you for your help,
Omer

Contact KEF and ask if they make recone kits for these drivers and also ask if they can recommend a reconing shop. Speaker reconing while fairly easy does require training. Watch a Youtube video or two and see if you want to try it on your own. Keep in mind that every speaker model is different and some characteristics of the KEFs might be entirely different from what shows up on Youtube.
