I mean no offense to Lee by any means, but this is a terrible topic. How many times did we go 'round and 'round on the other forum regarding this and we always came down to the fact that a good kick drum mic starts with a well tuned drum. From there, give any pro any mainstream mic designed for bass drum and they'll make it sound good.

For sure, Adam. The whole article could end up being ''Mic selection is low on the list of requirements for a good kick drum sound.'' Whatever.

My thought was that a wiki would be a good place to collect a forum FAQ.
